This 2-day U-space training provides a comprehensive overview of the European U-space regulatory framework and its practical implementation, helping participants understand how this new airspace environment enables the safe and scalable integration of drones into European airspace. Through a combination of regulatory context and practical insights, participants will gain a clear understanding of the U-space architecture, including the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders such as U-space Service Providers (USSP), Common Information Service Providers (CISP), and Supplementary Data Service Providers (SDSP), as well as the operational environment in which U-space services are deployed.
The training also explores the operational and regulatory foundations of U-space, including certification pathways for service providers, the interaction between U-space services and Air Traffic Control, and the key elements required for implementing and operating within U-space environments. Participants will also review lessons learned from Switzerland’s U-space implementation, upcoming regulatory developments, anticipated airspace expansion, and the steps required to conduct compliant UAS operations within this evolving airspace framework.
The training is designed for aviation authorities, air navigation service providers, drone operators, and organisations involved in the development or implementation of U-space services who want to strengthen their understanding of the U-space regulatory framework and how it will shape drone operations in European airspace.
Sessions are delivered by experts with extensive experience in European drone regulation and U-space implementation, and are particularly suited for authorities preparing for U-space oversight, service providers exploring certification pathways, and organisations seeking to understand how U-space will affect their operations and strategic planning.
Our teachers are experts in their field and have vast experience of the European and American regulatory framework. Not only will they be available for interactive Q&A throughout the sessions, but they will also facilitate a follow-up discussion after the modules to allow you to explore your learning further.
