This 4-day U-space and SORA 2.5 training provides a comprehensive overview of the main structures, classifications, and operational requirements of European airspace used by ATS services worldwide, with a focus on their implications for UAS operations. Participants will also gain a practical understanding of the SORA methodology and its role within the European regulatory framework for drone operations.
The U-space Regulatory module provides a comprehensive overview of the European U-space framework, including the latest regulatory developments and implementation requirements. Participants will gain an understanding of the U-space architecture, including the roles of UTM, CISP, and SDSP, as well as the operational environment in which U-space services are deployed.
The SORA module introduces the SORA methodology and its most recent developments, guiding participants through both the core principles and practical applications of the leading risk management framework for drone operations. Topics include the Semantic Model, ConOps and Operations Manual, as well as deeper dives into SAIL/OSO and Adjacent Airspace considerations.
The training is designed for aviation decision-makers, authorities, enterprise organizations, associations, and drone or UTM start-ups looking to strengthen their understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risk assessment.
