DroneTalks with Barcelona Drone Center are hosting a 5-day Regulatory and SORA 2.5 training to rapidly bring professionals up to speed on the latest regulations in the industry, including the newly released U-space regulations.
This 5-day UAS Regulatory & SORA training provides a comprehensive overview of current and upcoming European drone regulations, together with practical knowledge on how to apply the SORA methodology to UAS operations.
The Regulatory module covers the latest developments in the European drone ecosystem, including U-space regulations (2021/664, 665 and 666), updates on regulatory work across EU Member States, drone technical approval policies, and progress in standards development. Participants will also gain insights into how the European regulatory framework compares with the American system.
The SORA module introduces the SORA methodology and its most recent developments, guiding participants through both the core principles and practical applications of the leading risk management framework for drone operations. Topics include the Semantic Model, ConOps and Operations Manual, as well as deeper dives into SAIL/OSO and Adjacent Airspace considerations.
The training is designed for aviation decision-makers, authorities, enterprise organizations, associations, and drone or UTM start-ups looking to strengthen their understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risk assessment.
Sessions are delivered by industry experts with extensive experience in both European and American regulatory frameworks and include interactive Q&A and follow-up discussions to deepen participants’ learning. The training is also ISO Certified.
Our teachers are experts in their field and have vast experience of the European and American regulatory framework. Not only will they be available for interactive Q&A throughout the sessions, but they will also facilitate a follow-up discussion after the modules to allow you to explore your learning further.
