This 2-day European Airspace training offers a comprehensive overview of the main structures, classifications, and operational requirements of European airspace used by ATS services worldwide. Through a combination of theoretical foundations, regulatory context, and practical examples, participants will gain a clearer understanding of how ATM and UTM airspace, airspace classifications, and Flight Procedure Design (FPD) interact in real operational environments.
The training also introduces key elements of the European air navigation framework, including airspace management concepts, operational characteristics, the basics of FPD, and an introduction to the ICAO Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) concept within modern Air Navigation Services (ANS). Participants will also become familiar with the official sources of airspace information required for flight implementation, such as AIPs, national regulations, and relevant digital platforms used to plan and request operations.
The training is designed for aviation professionals, authorities, ANSPs, enterprise organisations, and drone or advanced air mobility companies seeking to strengthen their understanding of how European airspace is structured, managed, and applied in operational contexts.
Sessions are delivered by industry experts with extensive experience in European airspace management and aviation regulation, and include interactive discussions and Q&A sessions to help participants connect theoretical concepts with real-world operational scenarios.
Our teachers are experts in their field and have vast experience of the European and American regulatory framework. Not only will they be available for interactive Q&A throughout the sessions, but they will also facilitate a follow-up discussion after the modules to allow you to explore your learning further.
