The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), the body responsible for regulating and supervising civil aviation in the Dominican Republic, has accredited SENASA as its training centre in aeronautical matters. Following an inspection of SENASA’s training facilities in Madrid and an evaluation of the documentation related to its training activities, the Dominican authority thus ensures excellence in the delivery of various training programmes for its staff under SENASA’s instruction.
SENASA and IDAC, a well-established client, have been collaborating for years in the training of professionals from different areas of aviation in order to modernise and strengthen personnel’s competencies in specific Operational Safety matters. As a result of this agreement, SENASA will deliver training courses to designated professionals, both in person at the organisation’s headquarters in Madrid and in virtual format.
With more than three decades of experience and endorsed by the International Civil Aviation Organization’s TRAINAIR PLUS programme, SENASA is a national and international benchmark in specialised training and capacity building in Aviation Safety. To this end, it offers a catalogue of more than 120 courses organised by thematic areas, including content covering all aspects of air transport: from air navigation, airworthiness, airports and operations to operational safety (SSP, SMS), human factors and dangerous goods.
In its aim to respond to the needs of the sector, SENASA continuously updates its catalogue, incorporating subjects that help strengthen technical skills, including areas currently as relevant as cybersecurity. It is also supported by an expert instructional team specialising in air transport disciplines, enabling SENASA to combine its experience with high-quality training, thereby contributing to the enhancement of aviation safety both in Spain and worldwide.
