The Insero delivery will include new hardware and updated software for the advanced Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (Insero RCMS), the Flight Data Processing System (Insero AIMS), the advanced radar and situational display (Insero RADIS) as well as the Automatic Weather Observation System (Insero AWOS).
The implementation will support the parallel/continued operations, and transition from the physical tower to the digital tower operations, while at the same time adding additional operator positions and further server and network redundancy in support of the high availability and safety needs.
“With the strengthened collaboration with Insero Air Traffic Solutions, I am excited that we continue to progress the expansion and modernisation of our airport capabilities, while leading the way as Denmark’s first digital tower airport”, says Jákup Sverri Kass, CEO of Sønderborg Airport.
To further ensure operations and availability, the Insero RCMS solution will be expanded to also monitor dual redundant network switches and additional Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for the digital tower facilities.
The project has been initiated and will be completed later this year.
“For more than two decades, Insero solutions have been operational at Sønderborg Airport and we are delighted to have been chosen to form part of the exciting new digital tower implementation and to support the future tower operations in Sønderborg Airport. With the upgraded Insero solutions, the airport is well positioned to scale to meet future operational needs.”, says Michael H. Tandrup, CEO of Insero Air Traffic Solutions.
