Proud Moment for European Air Traffic Management Modernisation

Today, 21 strong partners from across the aviation industry have once again stood side by side with SESAR Deployment Manager to reaffirm our joint commitment to modernizing Europe’s Air Traffic Management (ATM)— well beyond our current European mandate ending in 2027.

Our partnership is unique in its breadth and strength:

✈️ 4 major airlines carrying one-third of EU passengers

🛫 15 air navigation service providers controlling ~80% of EU flights

🏢 ACI Europe representing 500+ airports

🌍 EUROCONTROL Network Manager ensuring seamless EU-wide operations

Together, this equal and united partnership has already proven what can be achieved when we deliver #AsOne team:

✔️ Built an unparalleled ATM expertise, trusted by stakeholders and institutions

✔️ Established an inclusive, effective, and unique modus operandi that sets the blueprint for the future of ATM modernisation

✔️ Delivered 91% of Common Project 1 operational or under implementation

✔️ Saved industry €17 billion and 2.5 million tons of CO₂ (on track for 19M tons by 2035)

✔️ Mobilized €3 billion in industry investments with €1.3 billion EU support across 350+ projects, engaging over 100 civil and military stakeholders

These are tangible results, marking an unprecedented chapter in the history of ATM modernization. And they are only possible thanks to the relentless commitment of our members and implementing partners.

Looking ahead, SESAR Deployment Manager will continue to build on this foundation of trust, expertise, and collaboration. In line with the ambition set by the Single European Sky II+ Regulation, we are determined to assist our Members in their journey to continue shaping the future of European aviation.

The ATM modernization journey is ready to continue — stronger than ever.
