Jac Jansen appointed interim CEO Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL)

Jac Jansen will become interim CEO of Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL) as of April 1. From that moment on, he forms the Board of LVNL together with Marlou Banning (Chief Financial Officer). Jac Jansen has been a member of the supervisory board of LVNL for the past four years. As interim CEO, he will take over daily management until a successor takes office. The recruitment procedure for this started after current CEO Michiel van Dorst recently announced his departure.

With Jac Jansen we have found a candidate with a lot of experience in the aviation sector who can take over the position of CEO on an interim basis in the short term.

Wim Kuijken, Chairman of the supervisory board of LVNL

His background as Commander of the Royal Netherlands Air Force and CEO of Maastricht Upper Area Control (EUROCONTROL-MUAC) makes him the ideal person to fill this temporary position. The members of the supervisory board express their confidence that Jac Jansen, together with Marlou Banning, will continue the course of LVNL until a new CEO has been appointed.

I look forward to working with all LVNL employees in a period with many social and political issues and impactful projects.

Jac Jansen added “It is an honor to be able to contribute to this wonderful organization. Aviation plays a key role in society. With my experience, I will ensure that the continuity of LVNL’s activities is guaranteed and that the supervisory board can conduct a search for a permanent successor to Michiel van Dorst.”

Jac Jansen resigned from the supervisory board of LVNL as of March 1. After the interim period as CEO, he will return as an advisor to the supervisory board.
