The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) recently inaugurated its new ACC (Area Control Centre) in Ho Chi Minh. This major project is a significant improvement and development step for VATM, which SITTI gave an important contribution to.
SITTI has been providing Voice Communication Systems for air traffic control (ATC) worldwide for 80 years. SITTI put its experience and competence at disposal of VATM which we are grateful to for its trust and involvement in this project aiming at ensuring safe and effective air traffic operations in the region thanks to its compliance to tough technical requirements, its proven high reliability and flexibility, meeting current operational needs and scalable to meet future operational needs.
80 controllers will be able to seamlessly access radio and telephone links of different nature from the main system, while another 70 ones can manage the flights from the backup system in case of need.
The VCS voice communication supplied by SITTI will allow Vietnamese ATCOs to proactively, efficiently and effectively manage the air traffic flow over the vast airspace under their control, thus contributing to the overall flight safety in the area.
