In December 2024, the FAB CE Operational Dashboard was successfully launched. This new tool will allow FAB CE ANSPs to enhance their operational efficiency and performance. The inaugural version of the Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. This new tool will support decision-making and management of the tracked KPIs at both operational and executive levels.

ANSP benefits
The launch of the Operational Dashboard brings several benefits to the ANSPs within our region. Enhanced decision-making, improved efficiency and sustainability are the key benefits expected over time with use of the new tool.
With access to detailed performance indicators and metrics, ANSPs can make more informed decisions to optimise their operations. The Dashboard is split into two sets of views – a full operational view and managerial view, ensuring that both operational staff and executive level management have access to relevant information. A range of features are included that have been designed to improve the monitoring and management of Air Navigation Services.
In addition to operational efficiency and reduced costs, the identification of areas for improvement includes the future integration of environmental metrics. The adoption of sustainable practices will contribute to the overall environmental goals of the FAB CE region.
Dashboard measurement features
The list below highlights key features included in the initial launch:
- Traffic and Delay: Information on the volume of air traffic and any delays experienced, helping to identify congestion points and areas for improvement
- Complexity: Assesses the complexity of airspace management using traffic and vertical mix data, which is crucial for optimising air traffic flow
- Demand: Airspace demand is measured using occupancy count and entry count data, helping to allocate resources more effectively
- Operational Efficiency: Measures the actual airspace opening hours, providing insights into how efficiently the airspace is being utilised
- Declared Capacity: Provides information on the declared capacity of airspace, helping to ensure that the airspace is being used to its full potential.
