Dimetor Collaborates with Septentrio to Strengthen National GNSS Resilience Through NAVSentry

Strategic collaboration expands NAVSentry with high-end GNSS sensing to address electronic warfare, critical infrastructure protection, and large-scale positioning resilience.

Reliable Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) has become one of the most fundamental requirements for modern society. From commercial aviation and beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) drone operations to ports, emergency services, defence, and critical infrastructure, countless operations depend on uninterrupted Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals. However, with jamming and spoofing incidents increasing worldwide, GNSS has also become one of the most vulnerable components of modern infrastructure, creating new operational and national security challenges.

To address this growing need, Dimetor has signed a partnership agreement with Septentrio, part of Hexagon, integrating Septentrio’s industry-leading GNSS receivers into the NAVSentry platform. This integration significantly expands NAVSentry’s capabilities by combining large-scale telecom-based situational awareness with dedicated, high-performance GNSS sensing, delivering a new level of visibility into navigation integrity across entire regions and countries.

NAVSentry already leverages mobile network operators, one of the world’s largest existing sensing infrastructures. By analysing the GNSS signals relied upon by telecom networks for timing synchronisation, NAVSentry creates a live operational picture of GNSS interference. The collaboration with Septentrio introduces a second complementary sensing layer, granting access to full-spectrum GNSS analytics across all major constellations (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou) and multiple frequency bands with unparalleled sensitivity.

This dual-source intelligence provides early warning and improved localisation for increasingly demanding scenarios, including electronic warfare. Furthermore, the partnership broadens NAVSentry’s relevance across critical national infrastructure. It helps airports distinguish between isolated consumer privacy jammers and coordinated attacks, protects ports against costly logistical disruptions, and supports emergency services and law enforcement during time-critical operations. Crucially, it provides civil aviation authorities with the foundational safety service required for scalable BVLOS drone operations, directly supporting recent action plans from EASA and EUROCONTROL.

This joint initiative represents a significant step toward creating a scalable national capability for monitoring positioning integrity across multiple industries. Together, Dimetor and Septentrio are helping build the situational awareness needed to protect PNT resilience.
