ANRA Technologies Becomes First Company Certified by EASA as a U-space Service Provider

ANRA Technologies, a leading provider of digital airspace and mission management solutions, is proud to announce it has become the first company to be officially certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as a U-space Service Provider (USSP). The announcement was made today at Airspace World in Lisbon, one of Europe’s premier events focused on the future of UAS traffic and airspace management.

This groundbreaking certification is the first of its kind issued by EASA under its new centralized certification framework and represents a significant step forward in enabling harmonised, scalable drone services across Europe.

Over nearly two years, ANRA Technologies underwent a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation process conducted in partnership with EASA. The process included detailed assessments of safety, cybersecurity, operational readiness, business continuity, U-space service provision, and compliance frameworks.

While technology is a core component, the certification goes far beyond software capabilities. It covers areas such as Safety Support Assessments, cyber resilience, incident management, data protection, information security assurance, software assurance, and service oversight, demonstrating ANRA’s complete readiness to safely deploy U-space services at scale.

With the certification now in place, ANRA Europe is ready to launch U-space services across multiple European member states. The company is already engaged in discussions with several national regulators and air navigation service providers, and formal announcements are expected soon.

This milestone certification of ANRA by EASA represents more than a single company’s achievement — it is a key enabler for accelerating a harmonised, pan-European approach to U-space deployment. By establishing a repeatable certification model that has been applied and tested during this process, EASA has provided a clear regulatory pathway for other U-space Service Providers, fostering consistency, safety, and interoperability across member states. ANRA’s approval serves as a blueprint for future applicants and helps unlock the full potential of scalable and complex (e.g. BVLOS) drones operations across the European Union; and also as a significant step in fulfilling the European Commission’s Drones Strategy 2.0
