Airspace Abu Dhabi 2026 announced as tri-regional platform for ATM transformation

The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) today announced the launch of a bold new regional initiative: Airspace Abu Dhabi 2026. Hosted at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, an ADNEC Group venue, this brand-new event will be the only air traffic management (ATM) platform purpose-built that unites the Middle East, Africa, and Euro-Asia regions.

Airspace Abu Dhabi 2026 is not simply a new addition to the global aviation calendar but a strategic response to the growing demand for implementation-focused collaboration across the tri-regional airspace ecosystem.

With over 50 countries represented, Airspace Abu Dhabi will convene ANSPs, regulators, airlines, policymakers, and technology innovators to address real-world challenges in ATM, including cross-border airspace coordination, digitalisation, Free Route Airspace (FRA), and Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) implementation.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, welcomed the announcement: “In collaboration with CANSO, we brought this first-of-its-kind event to Abu Dhabi — a city uniquely positioned at the crossroads of continents, cultures, and global airspace priorities. At ADNEC, we take great care in providing a world-class platform where knowledge, innovation, and regional leadership in aviation can thrive.”

The event’s agenda will focus on interoperability, human capital development, sustainable operations, and the integration of emerging technologies such as AI and urban air mobility. A dedicated exhibition will showcase regionally tailored solutions, while high-level panels and workshops will offer practical pathways toward harmonised and resilient airspace operations.

Airspace Abu Dhabi 2026 will take place in October 2026. Full event details, including a call for speakers, exhibitors and sponsors, will be available in May 2025 at https://airspaceworld.com.
